that tonight I would learn that there is a way to make a non-clickable page (dummy tab), e.g. blog. This site offers a different solution to how I did mine. So cool. As I was looking at other eportfolios that Ms. Hildebrandt provided for us I noticed that they had tabs that just sat there with linking tabs just below. Tonight I am going to practise this.
Update: I now have non-clickable pages - yeah!!!

Through this video I am learning that my personal learning network (PLN) is of my choosing. This extends to whether or not I interact with others or just observe what is going on or being said. There is no taboo to just 'eavesdropping'. When something interests or moves me then I can make the decision to become part of the dialogue. PLN's are not limited to face to face contacts or communities. Instead a cornucopia of networking is at my disposal - Twitter Inc., Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, and WhatsApp, etc. There is even a website that is educator friendly, Educational Technology and Mobile Learning: A resource of educational web tools and mobile apps for teachers and educators. This website has helpful connections for blogging, PLP Network that has a number of free resources that are useful and in a centralized location, and a great site. The Canada Education Association has a wealth of videos, blogs - I typed in technology in the search engine to find relevant topics to our class content.
Coming next: How I can use ClipGrab to just share a portion of a video? I need to learn this for one of my videos in my Learning Project Blog. So many cool things I am discovering, especially as I start to question how can I do this better? I have been on the Zoom app previously. However, not for a university class. This is going to be a learning curve. All was going well until we were put into a separate room. Upon coming back into the main space I lost my sound. Leaving the meeting and re-entering did not resolve the problem. So...I opened the app in my phone and used the sound from my phone and the visual on my computer. I hope that on Thursday evening this does not happen again. I hope I did not confuse everyone? To start off I already have an eportfolio that I started in the Fall 2016 with my ECS 100 class. I will need to add and enhance this site each week. To start off I appreciate Ms. Hildebrandt showing us same eportfolios. I see that I need to have a separate heading for blogs, perhaps even my home page. As I thought about evidence of growth I realized that I would need to take a screen shot of my Twitter stats tonight. My 14 year old daughter told me about Cortana, that was on my computer, to search for a snipping tool, and used that to create this, with my daughter's help: I think I need to get busy. :) Tonight I followed @edudemic, an account connecting education and technology.
Next I again used the snipping tool to capture my eportfolio unique visitors and page views as of tonight. |
